I'm f'n tired of going out of my way holding doors open for women who have their arms full with kids, or bags, or any other random chiat! ....99% don't say a f'n thing...no "thank you"......no "fuck you"....no smile....f'n nothing!!! ...they can all now go to hell for all i care...f'n people. ...I 'ain't gonna bother even looking behind me as I'm walking through a door anymore...people suck!  |

I don't mean to sound preachy but getting joy through giving, and not receiving is the key lol That aside, you should do nice things to be nice, not because you want a thank you. People in my building are always so nice. Opening doors. Letting females on/off elevators first. Etc. I'm always appreciative and say thank you. Well if it makes you feel any better. Every guy who holds the door open for me gets a big smile and a thank ya sir. I bet it doesn't make you feel better but I tried. Thank ya sir.  |

Breate, Blade, breathe dear. I agree that it can be frustrating sometimes. I'm a thankyou kind of person. I even say thanks to the clerks at stores that don't even pretend to care that I'm buying something that helps pay their salary and they dont bother to help me out when I'm carrying multiple cases of JD. Some girls can be bitchy too. I opened the door for this girl and she screamed at me saying she was an independent woman and didn't need some stupid man opening the door for her. I was astounded. I couldn't believe the nerve of that bitch. I told her, "Girl, it was a nice gesture and if you don't like it, get out of my way and hold the door for me then." She didnt say anything after that. She wasn't expecting to taste her own bitchiness. I play bitchy when people are bitchy to me. It's the way of nature. ;D |

Mate, just because someone doesn't smile at you or say thanks don't mean you should stop being courteous forever. If I see a man or woman carrying several bags or summat, I open the door. It's just common courtesy which generally isn't a bad thing.
Fishbone, for the elevator it depends where I'm standing. If I'm right by the door, I go out first so I don't block the door and the ladies can come out. If I'm way at the back or in the middle, I usually let the ladies go first.

Bunch of bitches you ask me. I always say, fuck you too, ma'am. Nah, I didn't say that. I said, "YOU'RE WELCOME!" kind of snidely but this is only when I'm like in a foul mood and stuff. When I'm like in a happy-go-lucky mood and stuff, I always open the doors for people if I can unless I'm carrying a lot of stuff and then I try to hold the door open for the ladies with my ass. I don't mind if they don't say something and I don't have like evil thoughts about them or anything like that. What about people who put their hands on the door when you hold it open for them? Do they fuckin expect that I'm suddenly gonna slam the door in their face or something? On a related note, pushing the 'close elevator door' button when someone is charging to catch it makes me happy  |

I hear what some of you are saying, but whatever happened to being f'n considerate to people that do nice things? Let me get this straight. I don't do it get gratification. I do it cause I'm a nice guy but I guess I was raised to show appreciation to folks when they do something nice for me, not to just shrug it off like it's expected, you know what I'm saying? Anyway I'm not going to stop doing it. I was just venting I guess. Why won't people talk to eachother anymore? Hell...I guess that's just how I am. |
